French, with Tuareg origins and born in French Camargue in
1961, Mohamed Kounda was brought up among horses raised by
his parents. With them, he often went into the Saharan desert.
After BAC C school graduation, he works as a docker for about
10 years, which allowed him to earn some independent finance
and a taste for travelling that took him to sub-Saharan Africa,
the plains in the Southwest of America and the Middle East.
There, this self-taught artist whose talents were quickly
recognised, reinforced his passion for images and music :
photo exhibitions, concerts, first films
